Princess Part 1: Expo

All week long I waited for this day. I finally arrived at the Disney Princess Half Marathon Expo. I was nervous about the new change with the expo location. Normally the expo is held at Wide World of Sports, but this year it was being held at the Coronado Springs Resort. The feedback from people on Friday was that getting to the expo was a nightmare and was taking hours on end. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised when the whole trip only took us about an hour from start to finish.

We arrived at Downtown Disney to board a bus to the expo. The areas for bus transportation were clearly marked and the wait for a bus was painless. Once we boarded, it took about 10 minutes to get to the resort.

The welcome was warm and very princess like. The expo was a buzz with all different princesses and princes. Packet picked up awesome, so awesome that I didn't have anyone in my line. Getting the shirt was about a 5 minute wait, but boy was it worth it because I love the shirt and I was so thrilled that I could exchange it for another size. This is a rare occurrence for Disney because usually you are stuck with the size you get, regardless of fit. The swag this year was awesome! A pink mesh bag, a princess pin, and princess tattoo were all very unexpected, but very appreciated. Props to Disney for make this 5th Anniversary Princess Half Marathon race special for all.

The best part of the expo was talking with Jeff Galloway. It's because of his interval running that I'm even able to call myself a runner. We spoke briefly about running on ramps/inclines and then I got a picture with him. The first time I met him at the expo for the 2012 Disney Princess Half and the picture I had taken didn't turn out, so I was excited for this pic.
How was your expo experience? If you could change one thing about it, what would it be?
