It's Giveaway Time!

My blogging pal, Linzie Starr and I will be hosting an #inspirationaltea Twitter Chat on Wednesday, 4/10 at 8:15 EST (5:15 PST). This idea was born from Captain Linz's inspirational words of wisdom during a twitter chat party a few weeks ago. To help promote our Twitter chat, we are doing a giveaway.

So what do runners and inspiration have in common? We all need a little inspiration to help us on our journey. Whether you're a beginner or you're been at the sport for awhile, positive words and thinking will make all the difference in your training and on race day. We all have a mantra or saying that makes us push harder, or we have a story from our past that is shaping our future. Whatever it is, it's powerful!

So here's a little inspiration for you! We're giving away this awesome gift filled mug from Gone for a Run. The ceramic mug is filled with great and useful running gifts. You can choose from the female or male verison on this gift.

  5. Since Jan 2012 I've lost 60 pounds from changing my eating drastically and running. My dad was diagnosed with cancer that January and my sister and I together made a pact to start running and get in shape. We ran the Disney Princess half together in February 2013 and it was such an awesome experience! I also ran a half in March and am training for my next half in June. After that I will run my first ever FULL marathon in October! I love running and I love eating good plant based whole foods! I'm in the process of growing my own first ever garden. Doing things way out of my comfort zone and loving it! (PS My dad had a rough year but after grueling chemo he is CANCER FREE! and he and my mom are making awesome healthy changes in their lives!!)

    1. Wow..what a story Maggie! Glad to hear your dad is cancer free. That's the best news of all! I also ran Princess this year and it was great. Which full are you doing in October? I'm now training for my first full and looks like it will be in November. Scary, but exciting! Thank you for sharing your story with us!

  6. My inspirational story? I began running after the birth of my second daughter - I had undergone two heartbreaking miscarriages trying to have her and had gained about 30lb. With running I have managed to not only lose my baby weight from the pregnancy but almost all of the "no baby-baby weight" - still have about 10lb of that to go but I know with running it will come off! I have made lots of new friends that inspire me to do even better! I have run 3 half marathons and 1 full and am looking forward to my next race!
