Going, going, gone.....

It seems as though the world is catching on about runDisney. In fact, runDisney races seem to be selling out faster than ever. From the craziness of Dumbo and the new Minnie 10K, the world is taking note about running at one of the happiest places on Earth. Do you agree?

Yesterday, the Wine and Dine Half Marathon sold out. If you're been following the runDisney site and their percentages lately, then you knew this race was going to be the next to go. And now it's gone!

I ran this race last year and had a great time. Check out my blog recap from the 2012 runDisney Wine and Dine Half Marathon here. If you missed registration, you can try contacting Get Travel to see if they have any extra spots. I used them last year for my race registration after it sold out. Or you can sign up for the Jingle Jungle 5K if you want to get in on some of the action.
Today was another big day for runDisney races. The Walt Disney World Half Marathon sold out! Can you believe it? Another race that's going, going, gone. Were you surprised to see it sell out already? I sure was. If you still want to participate in events during Marathon Weekend, your options are the full marathon (it's at 62%) or Goofy's Challenge (64%). I will be there for Marathon Weekend and I think it's going to be amazing.

So what do you think about the runDisney craze? Have you been bitten by the bug? Did you get in for either the Wine and Dine Half Marathon or the Walt Disney World Half?

  1. I was planning to run the Tinkerbell Half...then the Glass Slipper Challenge has be thinking about the Princess Half instead. I'm really worried about Tinkerbell selling out quickly like the Disneyland Half...I don't want to miss out!!

    1. It's so hard to try and figure out how quickly each race will sell out, so I feel your pain. I've never done Tink, but the whole new Glass Slipper Challenge entices me.

    1. Four events is AWESOME!! Which race is your next one? I'll be at Dumbo and then at Dopey. Missing out on ToT and Wine and Dine this year.

  4. I am hoping to do at least one RunDisney event every year - this year is the Tower of Terror 10 Miler. Next year I am hoping to do the Wine & Dine and maybe the Expedition Everest. I have absolutely ZERO knowledge on the matter, but I just feel a little more confident with the Disney races - You know they will go above and beyond to ensure the overall experience is wonderful, no matter what kind of runner you are. We have a lot of great local races, though, and I want to make sure I give everything a fair shot.

    1. Doing what a year is a great goal! The hubby and I did ToT last year. I'm sure you'll have fun. You can never go wrong with a runDisney event...where every mile is magic!

  5. I love runDisney - they're so fun and the most organized events. Plus it gives me an excuse to get down to Florida/Disney! I plan on signing up for the Glass Slipper Challenge as soon as it opens. That's my birthday week, so I'll be spending a little extra time in Florida to celebrate!
