Weekend Wrap Up

How was your weekend? I hope you had a great one. Isn't it amazing how fast the weekends go? Here's my weekend wrap up.....

Having company come in to town is so much fun. My friend, Liz, from Jacksonville joined us for the weekend. I hadn't seen her in a year, but when we do see each other we pick back up like we haven't missed a beat. That's what true friendships are all about. For dinner we went to Outback...it was so yummy! I treated myself to a skinny margarita and some ahi tuna. I love their ahi tuna.
My long run was planned for Saturday. We didn't want to get up too early, so we woke up at 7am. Boy was it already hot and humid. Rather than run my usual route, I chose to hang out in the gym with Liz and run on the treadmill. I wasn't really sure if I would be able to to do 6 miles on the "dreadmill." But, I did. Guess I surprised myself.
Once we arrived back home from the gym, the rain started. And it never let up all day long. It was a long, tiring day. We ended the day with a move...Zero Dark Thirty. It was a pretty good movie.

Sunday was all about the sunshine. The sun was finally out and shining. We spent several hours poolside. Good company, rockin' music, and my favorite beer made for a perfect day!

And how did we spend the evening? Watching the new episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey. I just love watching the train wreck! I might possibly be a reality tv junkie. How about you?

So how was your weekend? Did you get a run in or some time in the sun? Hope everyone had a great weekend!

  1. I love weekends and also watching too much TV. Since all my primetime shows are on hiatus I'm watching the Bachelorette :)

  2. We just got sucked back into RHONJ. I keep saying "all done" but then I see Teresa with her crazy eyes and I go crawling back.

Sounds like a great weekend! We had a little family vacation in Disney, which was incredible. I didn't run, because we were away, but I'm making up for it now!

    1. The rain is getting old. It's hard to get anything done when it's around.
