Bonjour! My vacay in Canada!

This past week I was in Canada on a short vacation with my mom. It was a business meets pleasure trip for her and I got to tag along as her side kick. Check out our travels!

We left on Sunday and dealt with some flight delays. Getting into LGA was no problem. Check out the view from the plane as we entered New York City. There's something magical about this skyline.
We had about an hour and half layover which quickly turned into three and half hours, and another hour on the tarmac. Epic fail for GoJet Airlines...they totally made Delta look bad. By the time our plane took off for Montreal it was filled with cranky travelers, including me.

In Montreal, we spent two days exploring the city and doing tours and little excursions. My favorite was the Taste of Montreal class.....think cooking and cocktails. We learned how to whip up a few things in the kitchen and how to make a few drinks behind the bar. Check out this sangria...
After two days in Montreal, we boarded a bus and took off for Quebec City. This city was by far my favorite! It was so quaint and beautiful. The buildings were old and with so much character. And there were flowers everywhere. We saw historic buildings and Montmorency Falls....the falls and surrounding landscapes were breathtaking.

Overall the trip was great. I was only able to get one run in, but there was A LOT of walking done each day. After four full days in Canada, I was ready to be home to my boys. It's great to get away, but it's even better to be home! Have you ever been to Montreal or Quebec City? If so, what did you think?
