Product I ❤

Running skirts are all the rage for women. I know I can't get enough of them, how about you? For awhile, I've been silently stalking the INKnBURN website and I was thrilled to have a chance to review a skirt from their product line. They have gear for men, women, and children. What attracted me to the brand were their designs. I have never seen anything so wild and different when it came to athletic apparel.

I was also in love with how they designed the shorts underneath each of their running skirts. Usually when a running skirt has attached shorts, you end up with a simple black or white colored short. Not with these babies. INKnBURN puts designs on the shorts that are totally different from the skirt, but yet compliment the overall design. Check out some of their designs from the INKnBURN website:

Amazing, right?
So there's no doubt about the look of these skirts. I could order one of each. But let's get down to the nitty gritty about these skirts.

I received the Minnie skirt. It's exactly what I wanted and I'll be sporting it at the Disneyland Half marathon next month as part of my Minnie ensemble.

The first thing I noticed when I took the skirt out of the package was the feel. The skirt has a texture to it that caught me by surprise, but I couldn't stop touching it. It's made up of 88% polyester and 12% spandex. It felt great and was very light weight.

There are two front flap pockets. I liked having the pockets up front instead of in the back or on the shorts like other running skirts. They were deep enough to hold some fuel, keys, phone, money, etc.
Nice deep flap pockets on each side.
Now let's move on to the shorts....can you say FABULOUS? I'm just obsessed with the design elements. I was so hopeful that these cute shorts wouldn't ride up and would live up to the rest of the skirt. And they did. I have worn the skirt for several runs now and I have never had a problem with the shorts. They also do a great job wicking moisture away...no chaffing here!

For sizing, I found that the skirt ran true to size. If you're unsure of size, check out INKnBURN size chart for a more accurate comparison:
I wore this skirt on 4th of July! It was perfect for rocking out of the red and white (with a little blue thanks to my shirt). I was a happy girl after my run.
Overall I'm super happy about my INKnBURN skirt. They are made in the USA and that's a huge bonus for me. You might find them to be a little pricey ($74.95) but you're paying for a great product made right here in the USA and one that stands out from the crowd. What are you waiting for? Head over to INKnBURN and check out their amazing collection!
INKnBURN provided me with a complimentary skirt to review. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

    1. This would be a perfect future purchase. Has more of an athletic cut compared to the Spark Skirts.

  4. Super cute! I am so afraid to try a running skirt. The area between my thighs and knees is just not fit for public viewing, and I would be so self-conscious. Maybe one day, I will give them a try, especially when there are so many cute options!

    1. I love that design too. Now you don't have to drool anymore...the shorts never moved. I was so happy because most shorts do and these stayed put. Treat yourself and place the order!

  11. I have been wearing a different brand running skirt for about a year and a half. In May I found myself between sizes in the other brand and so I tried InB instead for my first full. All I can say is AMAZING! It was a hot day (record heat for Tacoma) and my skirt stayed dry. The other brand gets heavy with moisture as the sweat starts, but these kept me dry and cool. The shorts stayed in place all 26.2 miles. I immediately went back for more. I now have the peacock, dragonfly, britney, and sakura skirts and have worn them exclusively for the 5 fulls and 4 halves I have ran since 5/5. I ran with someone on a trail half in their shorts and talked about the differences in the shorts and skirts. I went home and and bought 2 shorts last week (blue jean and purple run or die) and they are more amazing then I could have imagined. I hate running in shorts because they always fit off on my body. These are cut to fit any shape. I highly recommend them to everyone, and am slowly converting all my friends from the other skirts over to these. Great review and I am so happy to see someone else love them c:

  13. I follow you on Twitter but I've never made it over to your blog- HI! Sorry about that. But, my bloglovin is more congested than DC at 5PM. I'm slowly warming up to skirts and running. I usually just wear them out and about with tennis shoes instead. I still can't get used to the tights getting sweaty underneath!

    1. Welcome to the blog Emma! Hopefully you'll start to love the skirts a little bit more. Things do get sweaty underneath in most skirts, but not these. :o)
