Can you believe it's August 1st? I know the calendar says it, but I just can't believe it. My feelings for this month are all over the place. I'm super stoked because the arrival of this month means Disneyland is only a few weeks away. But I'm also bummed because it means back to school soon and goodbye to summer vacation. Grrr.
So with a new month comes a new beginning. It's your chance to set new goals and work towards a new you whether it's mental, physical, etc. Here's how we can get to where we want to be!
Here are my goals for the month. I'm excited to see what the month brings. I'll check in at the end of month and recap how things went.
Goal #1: Run 100 miles this month. After reviewing my training schedule for the month, this seems totally doable. I'm excited about this goal because for July I hit 73 miles and 100 miles would be raising the bar for me.
Goal #2: Work more on cross training. I don't want to commit to a "challenge" because I don't do well with those. Oops. So my goal is to commit to something each day, whether it's big or small. I figure something is better than nothing, right?
Goal #3: I'm going to make a commitment to cut back on sugar. Let's be realistic here. I'm not going to say no sugar. I would be kidding myself. But I'm definitely going to cut back. No sweets as treats, no sugar in my coffee, no candy...things like that.
So there you have it....my top three goals for the month of August. Hopefully you'll follow me during the month.
