Weekly Workout Rewind: Week of August 12th

Hello friends! How'd your week shape up? Mine started off with a rough start and ended with a bang (in a good way of course). 

This week wraps up Week 12 of marathon training. I can't believe that I will be running my first full marathon in 55 days. Eek! I was super nervous about this week's long run because my leg was still feeling a little unstable and it was going to be my longest distance ever. I told myself if I had to postpone my long run due to my leg, I would. It totally bummed me out. But I didn't need to! Let's rewind and see how things went.... 

Monday: Rest 
Tuesday: Rest
Wednesday: Rest (do you see a pattern here..LOL)
Thursday: 4 miles
Friday: Rest
Saturday: 5 miles
Sunday: 15 miles (my longest distance ever)

This weekend was my last set of back to back runs in preparation for the runDisney Disneyland Dumbo Double Dare Challenge. 
I'm so ready to rock both the 10K and half marathon while adding some awesome, new bling to my collection. Aren't they pretty? The first three will be all mine and the 5K medal (furthest to the right) will be the hubby's.

  2. Hi Ashley! Great job on your 15 mile run! I haven't checked in in awhile but I'm still on track for my Detroit Marathon in 62 days. I did a 16 mile walk on Saturday and took my 2nd ice bath in my training. I didn't do those with my previous half marathons but I finally gave in and I think it really helps my recovery. I also bought a Flip Belt and wore it Saturday. Love it! Keep up the training and I hear it's mental from this point on....we can do this!!! Patty
