Weekly Workout Rewind: Week of August 19th

Am I the only one that's shocked August is almost over? Where is time going these days? I would give anything to make it slow down. 

This week was the craziest in a long time. It was the first week of school...aaahh! I'm already missing my summer days! I knew how crazy this week would be and I was determined to keep up with my short runs in the week. I've started running with a few friends right after school. It's hotter than heck, but it's so nice having the run done and being in good company helps too! 

This week closes out week thirteen of marathon training. Let's rewind and see how things went this week...

Monday: Stretching, core exercises
Tuesday: 4 miles
Wednesday: Rest
Thursday: 4 miles
Friday: Stretching, core exercises
Saturday: 11 miles
Sunday: Rest

I wish I could've gotten some better cross training in this week, but the hours just seemed to get away from me. 

I'm so excited about the upcoming week. We fly out on Thursday for our trip to Disneyland for the runDisney Dumbo Double Dare challenge. I can't wait to finally meet so many running friends in person. It's going to be the best weekend ever!
