I Heart Long Weekends!

I love long weekends! The feeling that you have so much extra time is amazing. We had off from school on Friday and we have tomorrow (Monday) off. Normally at this point on a Sunday, depression would be setting in because the new work week was upon me again. But not today!

Friday was a lazy day....dealt with a few appointments around town and then just I vegged at home. It was so nice! Saturday was busier...I had to take my car in to be serviced, my son had a baseball game, and then I went to my moms for dinner. My husband was out of town on business, so it was nice to keep busy with my mom and little boy! At my moms, I was able to get a quick mile in to see how my IT band was feeling. Luckily there wasn't any pain. Hopefully the ice and foam rolling is helping.

The highlight of the weekend was keeping up with all the runDisney Wine and Dine Half Marathon tweets on Twitter. I'm so bummed that I missed running it this year. The hubs and I already plan on being there next year for the anniversary bling...holla!

Today has been nice and quiet. My long run is planned for tomorrow, since I'm off, so it was nice to sleep in this morning. I was even able to get to the gym for an easy three miles on the treadmill. Then my little man and I ended the day playing tennis. I just love spending time with him.

I've got 20 miles on schedule for tomorrow and then the taper to Space Coast begins. Check back for tomorrow's Weekly Workout Rewind post! Have a great night!
