I have been in such a blah mood lately. And it's crazy because I was coming off of such a high from the Space Coast Marathon.
The morning after the marathon when I woke up, the outside of my left foot hurt. I couldn't really tell if it was just a regular ache and pain (I mean I did just run a marathon after all). So I kind of shrugged it off...until about Thursday. By the end of the week I was in pain and limping.
I spent days icing, elevating, and compressing. By Monday, I went and got an x-ray. Luckily the x-ray didn't show anything. But the doctor said to stay off of it as much as I could. What?!?
How's that possible? I'm in the middle of getting ready for the runDisney Dopey Challenge next month. That's my goal and right now I need to get my foot better, so I can be ready for Dopey.
So it's been almost two weeks since I've run. I'm hating it. And the worse part....I can't even tell if my foot is getting better. I hope to be back in the game by next week.
Have you ever had an injury that sidelined you during training? What did you do to help pass the time until you were back in action?
