#chiMarathon Training: Week 2

#chiMarathon. Week two. Done. It's crazy that another week has passed. Week one was a success and so was week two. Guess time flies when you're having fun? 

It was another strong week of cross training and running. Adding boot camp for cross training was such a good decision. I'm so sore afterwards, but I feel fierce. When it came to the long run, I even surprised myself a little bit. 

Here's how week two of training went: 

Monday: Boot Camp
Tuesday: 3 Miles
Wednesday: 5 Miles
Thursday: 3 Miles, Boot Camp
Friday: 10 Miles
Saturday: Rest
Sunday: Rest
Weekly Mileage: 21 Miles

On Friday, I went out to do 9 miles and ended up doing 10. I'm not sure how I overestimated the route, but I'm glad I did. I really focused on pacing and ran negative splits for all ten miles. It was an amazing run! 

How's your training going? What are you focusing on right now?


  1. I need to figure out how to best add cross training to my schedule. I think it will involve getting a new DVD player at this point (nothing wrong with our old one, except for a missing remote and every code in our universal one doesn't pair).
