#chiMarathon Training: Week 7

The #chiMarathon is 76 days away! It seems so far away, yet so close. I have a feeling the next 76 days are going to fly by! 

Week 7 of training for the Chicago Marathon was a success. In fact, my overall weekly mileage was the highest it's been in a very, very long time. And to think, that's just the beginning. The mileage is definitely starting to get real and I'm ready for it. 

It seems like I've taken a break from cross-training and I need to work on that. I decided that boot camp wasn't for me, so now I need to find a plan that works with the resources I have.

Here's how week seven of training went: 

Monday: Rest
Tuesday: 4 Miles
Wednesday: 7 Miles
Thursday: 4 Miles
Friday: Rest
Saturday: Rest
Sunday: 14 Miles
Weekly Mileage: 29 Miles

Marathon training in the summer heat here in Florida is definitely tough. 
On Sunday, I went out a little later than I wanted to and I paid the priced with how hot it got. Seems like it happened so quickly too. This week, I'll be heading out at zero dark thirty. 

How's your training going? How do you handle training in the heat? I'd love some suggestions.
