If you've ever thought about participating in a runDisney race, this is the perfect time! Last week, an episode from the show Extreme Weight Loss featured a father-daughter team completing the runDisney Walt Disney World Half Marathon in January.
The inspirational journey that took this father-daughter team across the runDisney finish line had people across the country wanting to experience the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. But there was one problem....almost all the races were sold out. Until now......
Let me introduce you to the "Goofy Giveback." The folks at runDisney have taken some of the 2015 Goofy Challenge race registrations and split them up to allow for more half and full marathon registrations during the January WDW Marathon Weekend. Both the half and full were sold out, but not any more. So here's your chance to register for either the runDisney WDW Half or Full Marathon.
This special "Goofy Giveback" opportunity will be open for 39 days to represent the 39 miles covered in the Goofy Challenge (runners complete both the half and full marathon). Right now both the half and full are at 90% capacity, so there is still time to register. You have until October 24th or until both races reach capacity.
I'm super excited about the "Goofy Giveback" because my mom is now running the half marathon. Since I'm doing the Goofy Challenge, we'll be able to run the half marathon together. Thank you runDisney for this opportunity. Don't forget there's still room to register for the Goofy Challenge too! If you're looking for more than 13.1 or 26.2, go for 39.3 and register for Goofy!
What are your thoughts on the "Goofy Giveback?" Did you take advantage of the newly available half and full marathon openings?
