Holiday Happenings

I've been a little quiet on the blog this week because of the holidays. I decided to take the week off from blogging to enjoy time with my family. We had some fun times planned and then with Christmas, I just wanted to soak in the family time.

At the beginning of the week, we took off for two quick days at Disney. We haven't been as a family since June and we all wanted to see the holiday decorations.

It was so nice to just enjoy ourselves in the parks and really have no plans (besides fast passes of course). Once we got back from Disney late Tuesday night, it was all about Christmas.
We had a lovely Christmas Eve with my family. We also attended a beautiful midnight service at our church. Christmas morning was simply magical as it should be. Being able to watch it through the eyes of a child is the one of the true joys of Christmas. Christmas day was spent enjoying time with family. There was lots of love and laughter throughout the day.

Here we are at the end of the week and I'm going to be honest.....I'm glad the holidays are over. Today at the house I took Christmas down, the tree is on the curb, and everything is back in its place. I'm also glad all the "eat, drink, and be merry" concept that comes with the holidays is over too. I'm the first to admit that I did indulge this holiday season. But I did hold myself accountable too by weighing on Saturday at Weight Watchers. I gained 1.4 pounds this week.
I didn't let it get me down, as it is just a bump in the road to my fit, healthy life. Tomorrow is a new week, a new chance to get back on track, towards a new me.

How was your week? Did you do anything special for the holidays? Share something that was your favorite part of the week.
