Sum It Up Sunday

Happy Sunday, y'all! I decided to start a new Sunday post called Sum It Up Sunday! Anything and everything from the week can apply to this post: time with my family, workouts, weight loss, good food I've eaten, how much coffee I've drank, etc. So let's kick things off right with the first Sum It Up Sunday post! 

Things were all over the place this week. Spring baseball season has started and I feel like if we're not at home, we're at the field. 
I knew I wanted to focus on starting back with running this week. I've been missing it more than I thought. I've been weight training and getting my cardio in through the elliptical, but I was dying to lace up my running shoes. So I did. Here's what my workouts looked like: 

-2 miles on the treadmill on Tuesday. The run felt okay. 
-30 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minute weight training on Wednesday. 
-3.1 miles outside on Thursday. I felt a little defeated because this run was hard. My leg was aggravated and I felt so slow. Defeated was putting it lightly.
-3 miles on the treadmill on Friday. This run was a million times better than the day before. No issues with my leg...woot woot! It's so funny how two runs can be completely different from each other and I'm so thankful for that. I'm hoping this run is a sign of things to come. 
-3 miles on Sunday.
For my weight loss, this weekend is five months on Weight Watchers. I can't believe it's been that long, but yet it doesn't feel that long. I'll be honest with ya...I didn't want to weigh in on Saturday. I'm starting to realize that weigh ins are all about timing because once again the monthly bloat was timed with my weigh in and I wasn't happy. But I went and sure enough, the scale was up 1.2 pounds. 
Seems to happen every four weeks. But it won't get me down because it's part of the journey. I've been getting requests via email and Instagram for a post on what I'm eating/meal planning. Be on the lookout this week for a blog post soon about what I eat and what works for me.

  1. It is crazy how one day you can run like crap and the next like a speed demon or just feel great doing it. It makes that love/hate relationship with running continue! At least for me. Good job this week, I need to get my rear in gear, by just doing something more often, gonna still run, but taking a break at the same time.
