I know, I know. I've been missing on the blog for quite some time. You're probably wondering what happened to the Pavement Princess, right? Well it's been a roller coaster of ups and downs over the last few months. Now that things have calmed down, I'm ready to get back in action on the blog.
So I last left off having summertime fun on vacation in St. Augustine. Right before we left on vacation, we decided to list our house for sale. This was a huge risk for us but we decided to " go big or go home" and see happens. When we came back from vacation, we got an offer on our house and we closed in less than a month. This was so exciting because selling our house meant we were able to sign a contract with our builder to build our dream home.
It's something that would've never happened had we not taken a chance with selling our house. From listing our house to getting an offer, then closing and moving, it was quite a whirlwind....all in less than six weeks!!
Just days after getting great news on our house and coming home from vacation, I got some not so great news. My grandma, who I just visited with in St. Augustine, was in the hospital. She quickly moved into the hospice wing at the hospital and passed away a few days later.
This was unexpected and it really rocked my world. It still seems so surreal to me that she was here one minute and gone the next. The morning we closed on our house we left to head north for my grandma's funeral. It was crazy to go from the high emotions of being excited about closing on our house to the lows of losing my grandma.
Then the start of school came and for any teacher, it's the busiest time of the year. August was a blur and September was too. Finally with October things started to calm down, but yet stay busy. I celebrated my 1 year Weight Watchers anniversary, we had lots of celebrations within my family that month, and my son's travel baseball is keeping us busy.
I'll be back soon to update you on some more things. But for now I wanted you to know, I'm back. Sorry for being MIA....I had to put myself and my family first, and the blog had to take a backseat. Hope all is well with you!
